Home - Sick - Busy
n2-Anpan OMP!!
Scott's still home sick with ???. From what we understand, it's not the H1N1 Swine Flu -- just probably some virus. He's getting by on some Robotussin and Tylenol. At least he's getting the sleep he needs. He usually lives on something like 5 hours a night. If he's lucky.

Meanwhile, I'm busy finishing up this chapter so I can start drafting out the next. I'm also waiting for my Cintiq screen protector to arrive in the mail. I can't stand how "gritty" the screen has gotten on the bottom half and it sometimes affects my drawing. I'm hoping this will solve the problem. *crosses fingers*

Also, learned that there is a 600+ person waiting list to exhibit at SDCC that's been queuing for 4 years. I might not be able to exhibit next year after all... but I still hold some hope that something might work out. ^_^;

I'm currently giving the Small Press area a try -- just to see if I can get my foot in the door. It seems rather unlikely that I'll get a true booth anytime soon.. and I think I have too much merchandise for the AA at SDCC. ^^;

I'm sending in my application today with samples - hopefully I'll make the cut~ T_T;

Hope Scott is feeling better!

Yeah, I also checked on the hotels and most of the surrounding hotels for Comic Con including the Gaslamp Quarter area are already sold out for 2010. It's gets pretty crazy because San Diego doesn't have enough rooms to accomodate everyone. (The fight for hotel rooms is going to get insane, and it gets worse very year.)

If you can't get in the exhibit hall or are unable to book the hotel rooms, perhaps you should try considering to come back on 2011 instead of 2010?

Some of the exhibitors this year were actually moved to the Hilton because the dealer's room in the convention center couldn't handle the capacity.

?? Exhibitors were moved from the CC to the Hilton? Can they do that? o_O; Considering the sheer cost of a booth... I'd feel outraged if I was told to move out.

Apparently, I have to keep applying, year after year until there are enough cancellations to bump me to a floor space. I'm holding out hope that when their contract ends, it'll open up more space for the exhibitors.

O A O hope Scott's okay! Good luck with getting into SDCC--and if it's not possible, there's always Wondercon! I'm going to aim for a table at Wondercon this year, so perhaps I'll see you there!
