Waiting Kills Time
n2-Anpan OMP!!
If anyone was watching my Twitter feed from yesterday afternoon, you'll have a pretty good idea of how much I despise waiting at hospitals and clinics.

Granted it's a Monday, I understand that there's more "traffic" than usual. However, we arrive roughly 15 minutes early and I end up waiting an HOUR past my appointment time to get into a room... then wait another 10 minutes to actually see the doctor. By the time *I* left, the floor had cleared out and everyone was off to lunch.

It then took us another 10 minutes to get out of the parking structure and back on the road. KS was *not* happy that what should have been a 15 minute appointment at the most - taking over an hour and a half.

To add insult to injury, we ended up waiting another 15 minutes in the McDonalds drive-thru - for what we assumed would be a quick pick up and go. >_>;

There's a point I'm just going to have to invest in my own car... but we're trying to avoid this due to the higher prices in gas and insurance. :\ I just can't win.

I know how you feel. I always have to wait for over an hour in the waiting room of my Neurologist's office before I'm seen. Then after I get a room, I get to wait while he yaps with drug reps. They ALWAYS catch him before he sees me! Aurghhh! Drives me nuts!

Then when I do see him, it's only for about 10-15 minutes. And then it's another 10 minutes waiting for the dumb-ass receptionists to copy my prescriptions and hand them over to me so I can leave. Last week, when he gave me a referral, they yapped over it loudly and were like "WHAT'S THIS? CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!" I finally tapped on the glass window with my knuckle (which popped a blood vessel - damned connective tissue disorder!), and told them "It's a REFERRAL!" They finally shut up and made a copy of it.

I should start asking my neuro for meds just to get through the appts. with him.
